Environmental responsibility is a trend and is part of the strategies of companies in the food industries. Sustainable thinking has been the subject of discussion in society and in view of the socio-environmental demands, this study aims to analyze how consumers perceive ecologically conscious consumption directed to social and environmental responsibility in the food segment. This research is characterized as descriptive, quantitative in nature with the elaboration of a field research. Quantitative research was applied in Natal/RN using as sample people who have ties to the IFRN campus Zona Norte. The results indicate that the respondents apply good practices of ecologically conscious consumption despite not making a significant contribution to the consumption of food products with certifications.
