This is a monograph for the conclusion of the course in Physics degree from the
Institute of Education, Science and Technology of do Rio Grande do Norte, Campus
Santa Cruz. The research develops around the eclipses as contents of physics
teaching in high school, the last stage of basic education in the organization of the
brazilian educational curriculum according to the Law of Guidelines and Bases for
national education no. 9,394/1996. Discusses the use of technologies in teaching of
Eclipses in high school and, thereafter, the goal is to do a bibliographic survey about
the concept of eclipse in order to reconstitute its formation along the historical
process of development of physics. So, with a focus on studies of this phenomenon,
organizes a bibliographical review about such content in scientific bases for high
school. To consolidate that proposition an empirical research was used with middle
school students using traditional teaching strategies and use of technologies. The
methodology that was adopted stem from the literature search for applied research to
teaching about eclipses. The results of this study are knowledge about eclipses and
can contribute to the teaching and learning of Physics in middle school.
