This study aims to analyze the issues of entrance exams and ENEM, focusing on understanding the different types of energy involved in pole vaulting, especially the conservation of mechanical energy. The research focused on specific questions that address energy transformations during the athlete's movement in this sport, with emphasis on critical moments of the jump, such as the maximum height reached. The main purpose is to provide a clear and precise analysis of how these problems address the concepts of mechanical energy in this specific scenario, aiming to expand the need for concise questions that address the athlete's movement in the pole vault, emphasizing all stages of the transformation process. Furthermore, the importance of a critical approach to solving problems in physics is highlighted, highlighting the need for continuous reflection on the presentation of questions and the development of the skills necessary to solve them effectively. Thus, the detailed analysis of the issues not only contributes to a better understanding, but also promotes the development of a more insightful elaboration of issues that involve physical concepts of energy transformation within a system, as is the specific case of pole vaulting.
