The present work conducts a study on teacher training in mathematics and the obstacles of the labor market from the perception of graduates of the Degree in Mathematics course in the face-to-face modality of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Norte - IFRN, Santa Cruz Campus. It is expected to contribute to teacher training based on the analysis carried out, in order to identify, from the perspective of the graduates, the level of quality of training received and the current situation of graduates in the labor market and may also serve as material of support with the use of real data to help in the evaluation system of the mentioned course. With the increase in the number of vacancies in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) resulting from the strengthening of public policies that expanded the higher education network in Brazil, the search for quality education permeates the need to monitor graduates, with a view to, that this feedback makes it possible to identify possible adaptations to be made in the training model and in the objectives listed in the pedagogical projects of the courses. The IFRN's Institutional Development Plan (PDI) guides the carrying out of studies aimed at monitoring graduates. This research covers graduates from the period 2012 to 2022. Data were collected through a questionnaire prepared in Google Forms and sent by e-mail to two graduates. Of the 48 graduates of the course, 31 answered the questionnaire. The results showed that graduates of the course are relatively young, with a greater predominance of males among graduates. Most graduates come from public schools. Most considered the Institution and the course taken to be excellent. It was found in the survey that most of the respondent graduates (74.19%) are continuing their studies, among which, 69.5% are specializing. Regarding the teaching experiences during the course, 80.64% of the graduates participated in the Institutional Scholarship Program for Teaching Initiation (PIBID), standing out among other activities. The research showed that the majority (83.87%) of graduates are working in the area of their training, among these, 15.38% are quite satisfied with their remuneration. Finally, more than 90% of graduates consider that their quality of life has improved after completing the Mathematics Degree course. With this work it is expected to contribute with real data for the course evaluation system and for the accomplishment of other works that aim to carry out follow-up surveys of graduates
