Criação de material adaptado de eletrostática para alunos cegos alfabetizados em braille

Abstract

This work aims to create an educational resource in the form of a Braille-adapted booklet, containing specific content from the Physics discipline, focusing on Electrostatics. The material will be intended for blind students who are literate in Braille. The main goal is to provide equal access to study materials, ensuring the inclusion and fulfillment of the specific needs of these students. The adaptation process will be carried out using Braille Fácil 4.01 software, following the Technical Standards for the Production of Braille Texts, and complying with the legislation regarding the inclusion of students with this disability in federal institutes. This is in response to the increasing demand for placements in regular schools, federal institutes, and public universities each year. Additionally, this work presents the process of including visually impaired individuals in regular schools in Brazil, providing a brief historical overview and contextualization of the topic. It also covers the material creation process, starting from content selection and adapting formulas and graphics, to the production of the booklet, in accordance with the legal guidelines established for this purpose
