This study is an investigation concerning the teaching of astronomy in the education of pedagogy teachers, who worked in the early years of elementary school at Raul de Medeiros Dantas Municipal School, in São José do Seridó - RN. Choose this theme, considering Astronomy a science rich in scientific and cultural knowledge, something potentially interdisciplinary in Literacy, and instigator in the process of teaching and learning of children. Moreover, it is present directly in the students' daily life. We seek to identify how teachers use astronomical content in the classroom, how these activities are prepared, and the main difficulties they face in this process. Finally, we found convergences between studies in the area of teacher education in astronomy and the result of analysis of the present study.
