Educação de jovens e adultos na perspectiva do indicador de alfabetismo funcional
Resumo
This paper aims to investigate literacy levels in a
Youth and Adult Education class, in the municipality
of Canguaretama, state of Rio Grande do Norte,
using the Functional Literacy Indicator. Thus, it was
methodologically constituted of a qualitative
research with bibliographic review, being the
construction of the corpus performed by applying
questionnaires in the first semester of 2019. In this
research, three levels of literacy were obtained:
illiterate, rudimentary and elementary. The subjects
researched in this modality need opportunities in
relation to the use of reading and writing as a social
practice for the development of these skills.
