Aiming to break down barriers that separate many students of the physics teaching, this work objectives to create an application for mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones with Android operating system. The Physics in Hands was created in order to gather as much information as possible and necessary for the study, individually or together, of mechanics subject. In trying to work on physics in the digital language of youngs, digital natives, we use the application with the subject of Gravitation in high school classes and analyze its effects on learning of students. This work is based on the theory of David Ausubel Cognitive Learning, with which we seek to work in Physics from previous conceptions of the students, using media of their quotidian lives. The educational resource was applied in two groups of high school through of a questionnaire previous knowledge, applied as before and post-test, it was observed a significant gain in learning content, when we compare the results before and after application. The results show that this product is potentially significant because it indicates that it is possible to promote meaningful learning through the application.
