This work aims to build a game for the teaching of electrical circuits and to study their effects on the learning process of digital natives. The game produced, called lâmpadas, is an application for mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones running Android operating system. The theoretical basis is given by David Ausbel’s theory of meaningful learning and learning theory based on digital games. The methodology is divided into four steps: creation, construction, use and application analysis. The game was applied to 141 students from two private schools in Natal. A survey based on the number of spontaneous conceptions available in literature was applied as pre- and post- test. The results are based on comparing the number of students hits before and after using the game. The conclusion is that the lâmpadas game is a potentially significant product since the results indicate that the application can promote meaningful learning.
