Large-scale systems, especially in the healthcare field, demand a high level of reliability
and performance, as any failure can compromise them. The overload of poorly optimi zed systems results in delays in data processing, communication failures, and inefficiency
during their use. For this reason, this work aims to document and analyze the results
obtained from load testing an online system for managing and evaluating dermatological
clinical results, by reviewing the system’s performance under high-demand conditions,
and identifying and optimizing sensitive points. The tests were conducted in one of the
development environments using the Locust tool, which allowed identifying the system’s
capacity limits, points of latency, and under-optimized functionalities, related to email
sending and questionnaire responses. The results guided updates aimed at performance
improvement and highlighted the importance of conducting tests during system develop ment.
