O uso de mídias educacionais em sala de aula : um estudo em escolas da rede municipal de Montanhas/RN

In an educational scenario driven to experience constant evolution in view of the many possibilities that technological development provides, the use of educational media has stood out as a fundamental element in the teaching and learning processes. Thus, aiming to understand how teachers understand and use these media in their pedagogical practices, this article portrays an investigation carried out with professionals working in early childhood education and elementary education at schools located in the municipality of Montanhas/RN. The research adopted a qualitative approach and used the questionnaire as an instrument to obtain data. As theoretical bases, studies by authors such as Belloni (2009), Cauduro (2013), Parry (2012), Carvalho (2018), Monteiro (2016), among others, stood out. The results revealed that the participants generally had significant control over the handling and use of media, including digital media. The difficulties, however, are revealed in the lack of sufficient resources in the schools where they work, which prevents them from foreseeing the wide use of these media in lesson planning with the desired frequency. Furthermore, despite the recognition of other existing types, when referring to the use of educational media, teachers refer more strongly to the context of digital media as the main tools for use in their pedagogical practices.
