This work aimed to evaluate agroecological techniques as a factor mitigating the impacts of climate change on agricultural productivity. To do this, we used a bibliographical research methodology in which a data collection was developed: maps, infographics and tables, through consultations with different official databases: Global climate data platform; Report originating from Brazil's Fourth National Communication to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and IPCC. The following factors were evaluated: Anthropogenic actions; Changes in environmental conditions; Possible impacts on the agricultural scenario; and agroecological-based techniques as a factor mitigating environmental impacts. Based on discussions of data and results, as well as the effects of climate change, in particular the changes in carbon levels driven by modern agriculture, which have caused several socio-environmental problems, agroecology is now seen through its practices as an efficient way to mitigate the impacts of these changes in the climate. Furthermore, agroecology makes it possible to adapt agricultural crops to extreme environmental conditions, as it prioritizes sustainability, balance with the environment and the rational use of natural resources.
