Construindo conhecimento agroecológico: a trajetória do Núcleo de Estudos em Agroecologia (NEA) no IFRN Campus Ipanguaçu/RN

The present study aims to analyze the trajectory of Studies Core in Agroecology (NEA), IFRN Campus Ipanguaçu/RN, in its instructions actions, research and extension regarding to building agroecological knowledge, through the systematization process. For the purpose of this work, some participatory methodologies were used, such as, half-structured interviews, participatory mapping, SWOT (Strenghts, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats), Venn’s diagram, and timeline. From this, it was possible to evaluate and evidence the NEA’s trajectory, actions, advances and challenges, taking us to an intense reflection about its function while facilitator subject in agroecological knowledge building. In this way, we concluded that the NEA IFRN Ipanguaçu Campus has contributed for the knowledge building process, in so far as it creates spaces and strategies, so that, the external society can take part, to build and to reflect about the knowledge produced in academy, at same time opportunizing the academic community to experience building knowledge spaces, through of research integration, education and extension in real contexts. But, it’s necessary to overcome some challenges to continue advancing in fortification of agroecology in and out of IFRN Campus Ipanguaçu/RN.
