The learning in Geography of students of integrated technical high school on campus Natal-Central of IFRN is target of this research and its analysis is on perspective of the theory developed by David Ausubel, the meaningful learning, from authors who dedicate themselves to his thinking. The adopted conception in this present research is of teaching and learning as distinct concepts, but that work in synchrony to reach the effective learning. With the regard the approach, the research presents features of qualitative and quantitative work. The general objective of this work is understand how it happened the learning in Geography on IFRN, campus Natal-Central, in 2017. The methodology is based on literature review, field research with use of data collection instrument (questionnaire) that was applied in 11 classes totaling 321 questionnaires answered. After the tabulation of objective questions, statistical analysis was used for interpret and organize the data. The results indicate that students did not feel difficulties in studying Geography on the first year of integrated technical high school. It’s clear that the students recognize the difference of the previous institution and the IFRN, with many answers about this theme, followed by rigor, higher level of collection and teacher methodology. The techniques used by the teachers, divided the opinion of the students, since methodologies that facilitate and facilitate learning have been identified.
