This study aimed to evaluate the usability of school management systems in Pedro
Velho using the SUS questionnaire in conjunction with Nielsen’s heuristics. Participants
included School Secretaries and Teachers. The results, particularly from the
teachers’ responses, revealed prevalent indices associated with dissatisfaction. Further
investigation into the causes of this dissatisfaction is recommended in subsequent
research. Usability analysis emerges as a critical tool for understanding user satisfaction.
Despite its simplicity, the SUS method stands out as a valuable indicator. This
study emphasizes the ongoing importance of evaluating and optimizing systems to
meet user perceptions and provide a more satisfying experience.
