This work aims to understand the perception about Chemistry and Chemistry learning of
integrated high school students, thus, it analyzes the knowledge level of the students of the
Construction and Information Systems high school programs at the Federal Institute of
Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN), Mossoró campus. In order
to achieve that, a qualitative-quantitative research was selected and the use of empirical and
theoretical reference that collaborate to the analysis and discussion of the proposed theme. In
this perspective, it is understood that the students recognize the importance of Chemistry for
society, but resist to learn the subject in school.
