Updating on alternative teaching methods is important to develop classes that promote more
concrete learning, aiming not only to reach a minimum score required by the school, but that
the contents can be understood by students in a concrete way. From this perspective, the
objective of this study was to try to understand the state of knowledge of the subject of
beekeeping in teaching. To this end, in August 2022, a selection of publications was carried out
on the Capes platform. The adopted method selected 9 (nine) dissertations to be submitted to
analytical procedures. The study allows us to consider that the reader of this article has access
to research that discusses methodological approaches in teaching and that there is a movement
to advance the teaching-learning process. The didactic orientation goes hand in hand with
environmental, social, political and economic themes. It can also be considered that what was
found is close to the Science, Technology and Society - STS approach in teaching.
