Beauty contests no longer reinforce a single standard of beauty or an unnecessary objectification of female bodies. Slim bodies or angelic faces are no longer their focus. Current competitions have undergone several changes, becoming more inclusive and diverse. Therefore, this research aims to demystify the stereotypes linked to women in beauty contests. The main objective is to analyze how the beauty and representation of women, when associated with beauty contests, have evolved over time. By comparing the current competition with their first versions, it is possible to see how the change occurs. The opening of competitions to greater diversity, the breaking of standards, and the broad appreciation of women are part of current competitions, increasing female representation and expanding their participation, where real bodies and beauty are being highlighted and admired.
