Abstract

Observing the public educational scenario in which the city of Lajes / RN finds itself, the great need faced by schools in the municipality with regard to the area of ​​information technology is notorious; more precisely in the service and maintenance of the devices. The extension project “General Sample of the Informatics course - with an emphasis on computer maintenance” aims to properly maintain these machines and return them as soon as possible to the scope in which they are used. And, encourage the participation of students of the ninth years in the selective test of the IFRN, through information about the computer technician course. In order that those who are already interested can be much more enthusiastic, and help those who are still undecided. The project's methodology seeks to pass on the knowledge obtained throughout the course, to places and people who are in need of them. Occurring through trips to schools, and the answers obtained through the diagnostic report of maintenance of computers. And through questionnaires answered by teachers of technical subjects. Who helped in the creation of the “General Sample of the Course”. With the current pandemic scenario, the project has undergone some adjustments. It was not feasible to comply with the proposal to carry out repairs on the computers of the Monsignor school, as it would be necessary to use the campus laboratory. And thinking of other solutions so that the project could proceed, a partnership was achieved together with the IT staff of the city hall of the city of Lajes / RN, where a great job was developed and through it new knowledge was obtained that served as preparation for the job market.
