Onde está a lixeira: percepção ambiental sobre o descarte inadequado de resíduos sólidos urbanos em Lajes/RN

Abstract

This work seeks to address the problem of pollution in the city of Lajes / RN. The alleviation of this problem is of utmost importance for city dwellers, as they are producers and consumers of local environmental resources (eg, livestock and agronomy). This work aims to carry out a mapping on the pollution indexes and the most affected areas of the municipality of Lajes / RN and, in addition, to propose an application that promotes awareness and the correct disposal of materials. For this, a survey was carried out to identify the reasons why people dispose of garbage inappropriately and how often they do it. Then, it is proposed to develop an HTML / CSS page, for the construction of a web page that allows users information on how to perform the correct disposal and that shows them the trash can closest. It is hoped that the results of this project will promote public awareness and engagement, regarding the current pollution situation in the municipality, and the proper way to dispose of the rejected materials. In this way, this project will serve as a way to obtain information that will lead to the reduction of pollution and local environmental preservation.
