This paper sets up in an empirical and literature review research that aims to present as is the teaching of stage within the Masters in Federal Institute of Vocational Education of Education Science and Rio Grande do Norte Technology - IFRN, highlighting the contributions one of the aspects of this stage, research. Initially a theoretical discussion about the integration possibilities of the three axes is required: teaching, research and extension and what their contributions in teacher education. Then we will present the contributions of the research activities conducted in NUPED on the research project entitled, Proeja-IFRN Specialization (2006-2009): contributions in education and professional practice of graduates. In this sense the research within the Master in Professional Education is rich source of knowledge and experiences to academia, developers and requirement of significant experience in the trajectory of training of graduate students.
