Resumo
Universal design has the premise of dealing with access to information for everyone, even if there are physiological barriers to achieving objectives. First, data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) reveal that a large portion of the Brazilian population has physical limitations of some kind. In the same context, more than half of these people have some type of visual impairment. In view of this, the objective of this work was to develop a website design and development methodology to give the possibility to people with total visual impairment (access by screen readers) and partial visual impairment (high contrast contrast) needs to access their content with as few barriers as possible. In this way, we sought to work with a methodology focused on the description of metadata, besides following the recommendations of the W3C and the Federal Government's Accessibility Booklet (e-Mag). To validate the quality of the generated code, a test was performed with the ASES platform. In addition, with the development of this work it was possible to develop the website of the Advanced Nucleus of Technological Innovation (NAVI), for the dissemination of scientific research and innovation in the health area. Finally, this development model centered on universality of access to data was adopted by the NAVI research team and will be used in other artifacts of the same nature. The following were presented as a result of the present work: the writing of an Accessibility Guide for the Web, 2 updated versions on the nucleus website, implementation of the adaptation for blind and low-vision people, as well as positive values with the tests on users.
