Negócios sociais: prospecção e mensuração do impacto de Projetos de Ação Social e Ambiental na vida de comunidades no RN
Resumo
This study analyzed the entrepreneurial potential of the 'Social Action Projects' developed by the academic community of IFRN, in 2015 and 2016. It starts from the premise that relevant extension projects with a social and/or environmental focus were carried out, however they lack the necessary orientation for their continuity after executed the project funding. Thus, this research aims to identify which projects have the most potential to be orientated and transformed into business with social and environmental impact, through the assistance of the business incubators of IFRN's and other partners. To do so, based on the available literature about social business, we propound not only a typology but also criteria for categorization and indication. Interviews were carried out with those responsible for coordinating of the extension projects in the IFRN's campuses, to obtain indications of projects and know the level of satisfaction in terms of the results obtained in the assisted communities. An in-depth analysis was carried out of the reports of indicated projects. We verified that out of 145 projects, 11 have a significant potential to explore whether for the creation of opportunities for personal development, work and income for the poor, the use of inclusive technologies or the reuse of solid waste, among others. It is noteworthy that no other studies were found with this purpose in the IFRN, therefore, this is relevant to enable continuity, generation and strengthening of local social business and look at the possibility of partnerships and other funding sources.
