The production of solid waste has been expressive throughout the world in recent decades, drawing attention to the importance of its management. Civil construction waste is part of this context and has a large share in the volumes of waste produced in urban centers. Although these residues have the largest portion per ton classified as inert, the environmental impact is smaller compared to other residues, and its environmentally sound disposal requires large areas and appropriate transport logistics, increasingly difficult conditions in large urban centers (GÁLVEZ -MARTOS et al, 2018). The CCR Management Manual in Natal-RN is the technical product resulting from the research of the professional master's degree program in the Sustainable Use of Natural Resources of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of RN - IFRN, whose theme was Analysis of the Waste Management of the Civil Construction in the Municipality of Natal-RN. It is presented as a response to a demand from society, since the city of Natal-RN reached a high level of growth in civil construction activity in the last ten years and, despite the measures taken to deal with the problem, it has more than six hundred points of irregular deposition of civil construction waste. The research highlighted some factors that justify this scenario and proposes strategies and actions that can be implemented. The document has a propositional and experimental character, without the pretension of being a definitive solution to the problem, as the subject is broad and the continuity of its discussion is necessary, as it constitutes a current challenge for the management of solid waste in cities in Brazil and in the world.
