Uma nova variante do algoritmo do morcego baseada em uma modificação no operador de mutação de michalewicz

Abstract

Metaheuristics have been widely used to solve optimization problems. In this paper, a new variant of the metaheuristic inspired by echolocation of bats is presented. The proposed variant is the result of the combination between the original Bat Algorithm (BA) and a modification in the Michalewicz mutation operator. To evaluate the performance of this new variant, it was compared to the original BA and a variant of the literature named Modified BA (MBA). The computational experiments were performed with 30 independent runs to optimize six benchmark functions. The superiority of the proposed variant has been evidenced when its results are compared to the original BA and to the MBA variant results.
