Implantação de uma horta na escola Antônio Pinheiro Filho na comunidade Caraú: motivando a educação ambiental e soberania alimentar entre os alunos

Abstract

The project allows changes in values, habits and attitudes towards planting the garden and through environmental education using awareness raising with the participation of students and teachers of the Antonio Pinheiro School in the Community of Caraú. Aiming to evaluate its effectiveness as a teaching method for Environmental Education, in addition to bringing better quality to the food served at school, provide a natural laboratory for students, in order to make students and teachers aware of the need and importance of planting and take care of a vegetable garden. The work was carried out in the community of Caraú, São Rafael Municipality of the state of Rio Grande do Norte. On 10/24/2019, the vegetables were planted together with the children, emphasizing the proposed theme of food sovereignty and environmental education among students, strengthening contact with the land. The intention is that the planted vegetables be complemented with snack offered at school as it does not meet the demand of all students.
