The thematic of this work is the teaching of Probability and Statistics in High School. The objective is to investigate the approach taken to the study of Probability and Statistics in High School in the state schools of Natal. Methodologically, the research is exploratory-descriptive, carried out through bibliographical and documentary research, and of questionnaires applied to teachers of Mathematics and students of four high schools of Natal public network, one in each zone of the City. The results indicate that the high schools of the Natal public network receive the teaching of Probability and Statistics in the menus of Mathematics, according to the National Curricular Parameters of High School; and that the contents of Probability and Statistics are, in fact, taught in schools, contributing to the students' citizenship
