Informatics can be explored as a pedagogical tool in several ways, including the study
of logic, which is considered the basis for any computational process. In view of this,
this paper entitled "Developing Logical Reasoning in Elementary School" reports a
participatory research carried out by licensees in Informatics at the State School
Professor Antônio Fagundes, located in the North Zone of Natal, Rio Grande do Norte.
The research presents the process of digital inclusion of the classes of 5th grade of
elementary school with the computer classroom, and in this environment the exercise
of logical and argumentative reasoning with logical puzzles and the textual genre
cartoon. It was the intention that the computational tools acted not only as learning
objects, but that they served as means for the exercise of logical reasoning. The
insertion of the Informatics in the school schedule was significant, since the activities
promoted and evaluated by the licensees showed that the students improved their use
of the logical reasoning and they began to use more effectively the computer science
in their activities at the school. The use of the computer room routinely contributed to
the perception of this place as a study environment, and not only for moments of leisure
and games.
