Abstract

During the construction of this study, it was proven that event tourism assumed an important role in the local economy, making it possible to state that the events sector stands out as one of the main activities. This work was carried out with the objective of analyzing the main social impacts resulting from the development of Event Tourism in the district of Pipa. To do this, we sought to understand the transformations that had occurred through the analysis of old and current works. We also carried out research with the native community. Having the opinion of those who experience daily life in the locality is fundamental. The results indicate not only robust economic dynamism, but also relevant social impacts, including changes in lifestyle and specific challenges faced by the local population. In conclusion, this study highlights the importance of event tourism in Pipa and emphasizes the need for a balanced approach to ensure sustainable development and the preservation of local values.
