Air quality and thermal comfort in the workplace can have a significant impact on workers' health, quality of life and performance. Monitoring these parameters is therefore vitally important for users in air-conditioned environments. Air conditioning efficiency parameters add to this context in terms of sustainability, indicating the waste of electricity and the need for maintenance of air conditioning equipment. In this context, the aim of this project is to develop a low-cost monitoring system prototype for air conditioners installed in air-conditioned rooms, whose device consists of an electronic sensing system capable of collecting, storing and displaying, in real time, on the ThingSpeak web platform, the parameters of supply temperature, return temperature, electrical voltage and current, relative humidity and room temperature, as well as the environmental parameters of carbon dioxide (CO2) and Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOC). Through this work, it was possible to provide continuous monitoring of the variables in a school environment, so as to allow a more accurate assessment and enable quick and effective interventions to correct deviations, promoting healthier and more efficient working environments
