Hailing from Honório Gurgel - a suburb of Rio de Janeiro/Brazil, Anitta has a particular aesthetic and uses her costumes as a visual identity strategy to promote her culture, making it possible to see her as an artist who imprints the synergy between fashion, culture and Brazilianness. The aim of this study was to analyse Anitta's costumes as a semiotic representation of Brazilian culture. This is a descriptive and exploratory study with a qualitative approach, in which costumes from the albums "Anitta", "Ritmo Perfeito" and "BANG" were analyzed. For the data analysis stage, semiotic analysis was adopted, focusing on the semiotics of culture. The research made it possible to visualize the phases that make up Anitta's career, allowing us to observe the artist's evolution not only musically, but also culturally, at a time when she leaves the stereotype of the favela and begins to reach other people as a visual identity and reference in the music and fashion scene.
