The study of stellar evolution is fundamental for the process of compression of our universe, it is the studies on the processes or stages of the life of stars that allow us to make countless discoveries about the cosmos. Gravitational waves, the origin of chemical elements, among other key discoveries for the advancement of technology and humanity. It is possible to address this theme in basic education, especially in high school, in the teaching of Physics, through the physical aspects present in the process of evolution of stars. The process by which stars are born, evolve and die is rich in physical phenomena that are present in the contents of basic education, specifically in the teaching of Physics. Using stellar evolution as a kind of background to approach Physics topics in high school can bring enormous benefits to students, as in addition to being a theme present in the bodies that regulate Brazilian education, it is a theme rich in aspects that are linked to the development of current technologies. In addition, studying the stars is, in a way, studying our origin and evolution, since several chemical elements that are present in our body, such as nitrogen, iron, carbon, among others, are forged or formed inside the stars and exposed or released. to the cosmic medium through great supernova explosions.
