Em retalhos de missivas, a tessitura de uma representação discursiva: “... venha ver, comer, beber e respirar Nordeste ...”
Resumo
For 20 years, from 1924 to
1944, Câmara Cascudo and Mário de Andrade
exchanged 159 letters, discussing the most
varied themes belonging to the scenario
cultural, economic, political and literary
referring to that period.
In this article, which is an excerpt from the
doctorate defended in 2016, aims to analyze and interpret as
the articulation of discursive representations
(Rds) builds a schematic of the
Northeast as a constitutive space of
Brazilianness in Chamber correspondence
Cascudo to Mário de Andrade. Therefore,
excerpts from the letters of
Chamber with terms directly linked to
this representation, such as “Northeast”,
“North” - which at that time still included or
confused with the Northeast - and words
from the same semantic-notional field,
as “sertão”. The analysis shows that these
terms do not occur systematically
and that the representation of the Northeast is
built mainly by evoking
of scenes, situations and locations in the region. For
the details of this construction, were
categories from the Analysis
Text of the Speeches (ADAM, 2008, 2011),
rearticulated and redefined in (RODRIGUES,
PASSEGGI, SILVA NETO, 2010) with emphasis
in textualization operations, such as
referencing, predication, modification,
spatial location and temporal location.
To develop the research, we used
an analytical-interpretive methodology that fits the field
qualitative research with a look that
points to some procedures of the
quantitative research.
