Utilização de ferramentas open sources para implementação de infraestrutura de rede: um estudo de caso na Escola Estadual Domitila Noronha – EEDN-Serrinha/RN

Abstract

Faced with the technological advances that have occurred in the last decades, the search for access to information becomes more and more frequent, due to the popularization of equipment such as tablets and smartphones. Government incentives allowed this type of information to be made available to various places, including the most scarce, through the dissemination of Internet access through the installation of computer labs in educational institutions and tele centers. This generates a lot of hits, often without a policy that restricts what should or should not be accessed. Based on the above context, this work aims to describe the necessary procedures to carry out the implementation of the network infrastructure at the Domitila Noronha State School, being used for such purpose the services SAMBA4, Proxy Squid, and firewall IPTables. SAMBA4 acts as a domain controller, allowing better management of users, being complemented by squid that will control the Internet access, through its proxy function. The infrastructure will allow the control of Internet access, as well as application of rules for the use of computers.
