This work, through an experimental research, aims to cooperate with the solution of this problem, developing the project and manufacturing a low cost and easy to use equipment. It is a spin coater, that is, a centrifuge capable of depositing liquid and pasty materials on substrates during the process of manufacturing PCIs. This equipment, whose operation is managed by a microcontroller, uses a linear source to power a Brushless motor, the electronic control circuitry and the user interface peripherals, the motor speed is controlled electronically through a signal with a width of pulse modulated (PWM). During the centrifugation process the equipment uses a vacuum mandrel to fix the substrate to be processed in a practical way. The equipment uses of materials found in electronic junk, such as an HD engine, cooler, selector switch and power cable, as well as low-cost materials such a matrix keyboard. The developed equipment made it possible to perform centrifugal processes with controlled time and speeds, reaching speeds of the order of 8000 spins per minute, resulting in the deposition of polymer layers with 12 micrometers of thickness. The economic viability of the project can be easily demonstrated, since the equipment developed cost less than 2% of the value of commercial equipment taken as a reference.
