The FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) is a programmable device widely used in digital
systems projects due to its flexibility and high performance. This work aims to develop a didactic guide
for Digital Systems practices using the SystemVerilog hardware description language. The material
was developed based on the Altera DE2 platform, available in the Potimaker laboratory at the IFRN
Canguaretama Campus, and is intended to support introductory teaching in Digital Electronics and
Embedded Systems. The guide consists of approximately 13 projects, which cover fundamental
concepts and practical FPGA applications, aiming to facilitate the learning of the HDL language and to
reinforce the understanding of logic devices through experimentation. In addition, the proposed
activities promote a dynamic and interactive approach, assisting both students and instructors in
conducting the teaching–learning process in a more structured and efficient manner.
